Football speculation time

Training camp has started. How do you guys think the AFC East shaping up? Any clear cut winners? Does TO shake things up at all? Are the Jets a lost cause now? Is Chad still distracted by his hate for nyj or is he rady to challenge the rest of the division? Pats havve no D still, any hopefuls still out there to be picked up?

Were you drunk when you wrote this?

Of course Chad is ready. He was ready last year, when he should have won MVP.

Jets are interesting now, they made a few good moves, although I’m not sold on Sanchez. TO has been overrated his whole career, drops many passes. Plus, the worst qb he has played with (not that Edwards is awful, but still).

    Beacuse I want to copy/paste:

A rb lining up behind center with the qb at wr and normally refusing to block because they’re all assholes and not training teh rb to throw properly is a dumb formation to get beat on. Come on, that’s bad.

I want the option in the NFL. Line up Pat White and Ronnie Brown for that with Jake LOng being the lead blocker from the left side. 8.0 yards/carry.

And goddamnit, I can’t stand that our stadium is now Landshark Stadium. We finally had it right: Dolphins Stadium, no more sponsors, no more owner name. Now Miami has a bunch of celebrities who control interest in it because the guy who bought most of it suddenly can’t afford anything.

    Goddamnit.

Between 9-7 and 11-5. The AFC East lines up against teh NFC South, the two divisions with teh easiest schedules last year, which is why I don’t completely buy Miami having teh #1 hardest schedule. Which division will break first?

AFC East could be a pretty good division this year

I wrote that on my iphone during lunch, at work. so… OF COURSE I was “not” drunk.

You know, who ever gets Mike Vic will run a more impressive Wild Cat offense. because, the first guy with the ball will have the options to pass, lateral/handoff, or run (where as having the qb line up wide means an unreliable arm is getting the ball first, so they will either lateral/hand off or run).

also, Dolphins say that the new kid is going to be QB-ing by 2010. That’s gotta rub Chad the wrong way… LAND SHARK! … HO!!!!!!!!!

It’s just that your typos look like you were either drunk or impersonating me :)

Regarding your Vick thing…isn’t what a Vick offense looks like anyhow? He was only average at doing that in the first place. However, the most you want out of he Wildcat is a 20 yard pass play and he is shit beyond that, if even, so I guess he’d look impressive in said situation.

It’s so ridiculous that Miami was able to pull the wool over everyone last year with the Wildcat. This isn’t a slight on NE, it’s just how I have felt since last year. The direct snap exists, Belichick used to exploit that a lot when the defense was full of dumbasses who didn’t realize Brady walking to the sideline saying he can’t hear the play while Faulk lines up behind center meant a direct snap. Pennington lining up at wr was never even used by Sparano, I expect to see more of that this year because he was never covered.

    Hold on

    Take a look at Miami’s schedule: http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/news/gameschedule.asp

They could be 4-1 heading into the bye. Also, check teh road games. We play at SD week 3 but EVERY other road game is on the east coast. That is just outstanding. I’m aware that Miami has, based upon last year, the hardest schedule by combined record. However, The NFC South had, I believe the 2nd easiest schedule last year (yes, AFC East had the easiest and I figured no matter who got to the playoffs from there, they’d lose first round). So I’m not completely sold on the NFC South.

People are discounting the AFC eats except for the Patriots while they hail the NFC South as having good teams. Screw that.

If Miami drafts Tim Tebow next year, we can totally run an option. Pat White at QB, Tebow at FB, Brown at RB, Henne at WR (because, yes, he is starting in 2010-11). Tebow is the blocker behind Jake Long who will go wide to set a running block. Tebow can also have the ball pitched to him for a pass.

I truly believe Tebow will do well as TE or FB

Also, I just really like the option.
